We have the exclusive trailer debut for The Gates starring John Rhys-Davies and Richard Brake.

We have the exclusive trailer premiere for The Gates, an all-new horror film featuring John Rhys-Davies (Indiana Jones franchise, The Lord of the Rings franchise) and Richard Brake (Game of Thrones, The Munsters). The film is set for a release on Digital and VOD outlets on June 27, 2023, courtesy of 101 Films and Trinity Creative Partnership. The Gates is directed by Stephen Hall, who penned the screenplay with Tim Reynolds. It is produced by Michael Jones, John Lerchen, and Paul Thompstone. Along with Rhys-Davies and Brake, the film also stars Michael Yare, Elena Delia, Peter Coonan, David Pearse, Brian Fortune, Tristan Heanue, Matthew O'Brien, and Claire Loy.

"I would like to thank Paul [Thompstone] for allowing us to be involved with this amazing project," 101 Films International CEO Andy Lyon said of the movie. "From the moment we were pitched the movie we absolutely loved it, it's incredibly commercial and joins a significant slate of other movies we are backing this year. It's also great to be able to support an Irish production given our recent acquisition of Silentpoint, rebranded Amcomri Productions, as we further increase our global footprint."

The official logline for The Gates is as follows:

London, 1892. William Colcott has been sentenced to death by Electric Chair. Upon his day of death, he curses the prison he resides in along with all that dwell within the gates. Two post mortem photographers, turned paranormal investigators, Frederick Ladbroke and Emma Wickes, become embroiled in an investigation with a mysterious medium, Lucian Abberton. They must work together to stop William's spirit from escaping Bishops Gate Jail and unleashing the gates of hell on Victorian London.

Brake is well known for his haunting portrayal of the Night King in the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. He has also collaborated with director Rob Zombie on several films, including key roles in Halloween II, 3 from Hell, and The Munsters. Brake also recently appeared in Zach Creggers' acclaimed horror movie Barbarian. His other recent roles include an episode of The Mandalorian as well as the supernatural action comedy sequel R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned.

Rhys-Davies played Sallah in the original Indiana Jones trilogy, appearing in Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It has since been confirmed that he will return as Sallah in the upcoming sequel Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The actor can also be recognized from his role as Gimli in the Lord of the Rings franchise. More recently, he appeared in the IFC mockumentary series Documentary Now!.
